Swat the Switzerland of Pakistan is slowly but steadily inching towards peace and tranquillity for which once this picturesque valley was famous for. The terrorism torn region suffered the worst brutalities on the hands of Taliban. The military operations conducted, have though eliminated the miscreant footprint from the area; however the shadows of the heinous crimes against the humanity still exists in the minds of commoners of the area. Efforts are being made through various events / activities organised by different governmental as well as non-governmental organisations to achieve stable and peaceful environment in Swat. The successful conduct of Spirit of  Swat – 2011, Kalam Festival- 2012 and Swat Snow Festival – 2012 are indicative of the return of normalcy in the region and the resolve of its people to ensure peace in their area. Remembering 6th Sept 1965 : Incredible images from the War Zone

 'Pakistan Defence Day'

September 6th is a red letter day in the history of Pakistan when our armed forces with the solid support of the people exhibited extraordinary courage in grave threats to the country as on this day in 1965, the armed forces successfully defended the motherland against the invasion of Indian Army without any formal declaration of war. 6th September is marked as the 'Defence Day' of Pakistan.

Defence day celebrations across the country with renewed pledge, commitment and resolve to defend the ideological and geographical boundaries of the country from any aggression in line with the spirit and unity exhibited by the whole nation by standing shoulder to shoulder with defenders of the motherland. Today every year we pay homage to our brave martyred and courage of our soldiers who defended country heroically.

73rd death Anniversary of Allama M. Iqbal, (Poet of the East)

Today we are all witnessing the 73rd death Anniversary of Our great poet and the first man to dream Pakistan Doctor Allama Muhammad Iqbal. The message of Iqbal is a way of prosperity for any nation but unfortunately the path we followed after the establishment of Pakistan is against the theory of Iqbal. The last 9 years of dictatorship is the proof of our non Iqbal thinking. In such situation how we can justify with the thought of "Khudi" into our nation's common practice? The problems and situation of so called civilization in the 21st century is opening the doors towards the enlightened message of the great Thinker who always wanted the youth not to draw a line between religion and civilization, He always taught us that our youth has the power and strength  to bright the whole nation's future, They have the power of their beautiful religion which has opened the larger than life path for success and prosperity for them. He always insisted that the youth is the backbone of any country's prosperity. The educated, Well developed, Self respected, Courage s, Enthusiastic youth who moves with the light of Quranic teachings.

In every poem of Iqbal there is a message of Positive thinking, Motivation, Mutual understandings and Khudi that is Self confidence. It is still not too late if  we start to follow his teachings as a nation rather just making tributes and speech competitions on his name. We have to implement his teachings in the whole system and we would be a different nation after some time.

3rd martyrdom anniversary of "Daughter of the East"

Today on 27 December 2007, Benazir Bhutto was killed while leaving a campaign rally for the PPP at Liaquat National Bagh, RawalPindi, where she had given a spirited address to party supporters in the run-up to the January 2008 parliamentary elections. After entering her bulletproof vehicle, BB stood up through its sunroof to wave to the crowds. At this point, a gunman fired shots at her and subsequently explosives were detonated near the vehicle killing approximately 20 people. Mohtarma was critically wounded and was rushed to Rawalpindi General Hospital. She was taken into surgery and pronounced dead. It was the most tragic and dreadful evening in the history of Pakistan, in the death of Benazir Bhutto, the world has lost an extremely talented woman of valor.

A large number of admirers and supporters of former prime minister and former chairperson Pakistan People'sParty (PPP) Benazir Bhutto continued to pour-in to pay homage to the late leader who became the first woman leader of a Muslim nation in modern history.

Battle of Karbala : Upheld the struggle of good against the evil.

10th Muharram is a day of mourning for all Muslims. The tragic incident at Karbala where the righteous Hazrat Imam Hussain (son of Hazrat Ali ibn Abi Talib and Hazrat Fatimah Zahra (daughter of prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) refused to submit to the autocracy of Yazid is an event laden with deep symbolism. Hazrat Imam Hussain and his faithful companions preferred to die on the banks of river Euphrates and upheld the struggle of good against the evil.

The reason for the battle was Yazid's insistence that Hazrat Imam Hussain accept him as the upright and undisputed ruler. Hazrat Imam Hussain was not an ordinary person. Grandson of the prophet, he was widely accepted as the most pious throughout his life. A seal from such a personality would have given a kiss of life to Yazid's unlawful power grab. Both were well aware of this. Yazid chose to use the state power to first disallow access to water and food for three days to Hazrat Imam Hussain his family including women and children whom some were either old (90+ years) or young (6 months) and when Hazrat Imam Hussain still insisted on his stance of not providing legitimacy to Yazid's rule, told Hazrat Imam Hussain that he would be killed. Hazrat Imam Hussain chose that & with his small group of companions and family members, who were between 72 men of he fought with a large army of Yazid during the 1 day battle in Karbala they all faught bravely and martyred. The captured women were tortured. In the end though, these women specially the sister of Hazrat Imam Hussain Hazrat Bibi Zainab, through their speeches were able to turn the tables on Yazid. This battle also had significant effects on the social, religious and political situation.

10 Muharram the day of Ashura marks the high point of the Remembrance of Muharram. It is commemorated by Muslims as a day of mourning for the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain at the Battle of Karbala. Muslims fasted on the 9th and 10th Muharram to express gratitude. Processions of Azadari, Religious gatherings and rallies are an essential part of Muharram to remember the scarifies of the loving grand son of the Holy Prophet P.B.UH. and his family including 6 month old kid of his own Hazrat Ali Asghar and so many others. This was the biggest scarifies for the sake of Islam and We, whether the Shia's or Sunni's express our gratitude to the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain . In Pakistan Commemoration of Hazrat Imam Hussain become a national holiday and most ethnic and religious communities participate in it.

Shah ast Hussain, Badshah ast Hussain
Deen ast Hussain, Deen Panah ast Hussain
Sardad na dad dast, dar dast-e-yazeed,
Haqaa key binaey La ila ast Hussain

Ruler is Hussain, Emperor is Hussain,
Faith is Hussain , guardian of faith is Hussain .
Offered his head and not the hand to Yazid.
Truly, the mirror of faith is Hussain

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

♥Nobody knows of the work it makes ♥ To keep the home together ♥
♥Nobody knows of the steps it takes ♥ Nobody knows-but Mother♥

A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity;, when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.

Thousands of people from civil society, Forces & Govt Officials have attended funerals for people killed in Monday's suicide attack in Karachi, victims of the suicide bombing were buried, i would like to slate our soldier Abdul Razzaq (Ranger) he covered the suicide bomber from the front side to save the many People & lost his life T.V channels reported.

Muharram rituals were almost peacefully observed in other parts of the country because of the tight security arrangements, the target was chosen to exploit the situation in the city so it might be given a sectarian color, but people of Pakistan have become of are very mature, they understand the motives of those attacks, people around Pakistan showed deep resentment over the brutal killings of innocent people in the suicide attack and condemned the riots. I see a very mature response from all the political parties and from all the sectarian leadership. That's a very good sign despite all the panic around.

CCTV footage shows the moment suicide bomber blows up himself.
