Five persons including two women and a foreigner were killed and five injured in a bomb blast at World Food Programme office here on Monday, police sources said. Senior Superintendent of Police, Tahir Alam Khan, here at WFP office while talking to journalists said that three persons died instantly who were identified as Miss. Gul Rukh, who was a receptionist, Mrs. Farzana Barkat, and a foreigner Mr. Boton Ali, an Iraqi national.
Minister for Interior said that seven to eight kilograms of explosive material was used in Monday’s suicide attack at the World Food Programme office that claimed four lives and left several people injured.
“About 7-8 kilogram explosive material was used. DIG Islamabad has been asked to take over the cameras installed at the office for further investigation,” he told reporters.
The Minister said that attacker wore uniform of Frontier Constabulary and pretended before the security men that he wanted to go to wash room.
WFP was providing food items to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) but terrorists “are so cruel that they attacked its office.
