Pakistan military take a very serious offensive in Operation Swat. The goal is to uproot the terrorists from the region In this exercise innocent Pakistanis are suffering & displaced from their homes & towns, Swat Crisis is being termed as largest humanitarian and displacement crisis. Whether we support the military operation or not, these Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) need our help.

Donate whatever you can. this is a request to all individuals, organizations, charities and NGOs in general and nationals of Pakistan Please support these people. Donate whatever you can financially, technically and morally support to hundreds of thousands displaced from Swat.

The latest numbers are devastating. They’ve been issued in a note that you can find in the This is the May 13th Update from the Provincial Relief Commissioner ate.

The highlights are:

How can We help

Besides sending cash through below mentioned charity organizations, Please do not donate old/expired stuff. Make sure edible items are hygienic.

• Clothing: Clothes of various sizes, Beddings, Shoes
• Utensils: Jerricans (large plastic cans that hold 20 liters of water or other liquids), Crockery, Buckets
• Toiletries: Tissues, Soaps, Dettol (antibacterial cleaners), Towels
• Food: Rice, Sugar, Flour (Atta), Onions, Potatoes, Cooking oil, Tea, Milk (tetra packs or powder), Safe drinking water, Cooked Food

Medicines:

1. Water purification tablets.
2. Life saving drugs.
3. Vaccines for malaria, cholera, typhoid, influenza.
4. Pain killers.
5. Antibiotics.
6. IV Drip sets
7. IV drips: normal saline, ringerlactate

How to Donate

All offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation, treasuries and branches of National Bank of Pakistan as well as other scheduled banks will receive donations for ‘Prime Minister’s Special Fund for Victims of Terrorism.’

This Fund has been set up for providing relief to the people in the wake of current situation in Dir, Swat, Bajaur and Waziristan Agency of North West Frontier Province (NWFP) and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and to mobilize resources and render a helping hand in the relief efforts for the affected people.

Necessary instructions have been issued by SBP BSC to all its field offices to open the above-mentioned Fund account and accept donations. The SBP BSC has also advised all the scheduled commercial banks to accept donations towards the Fund. SBP BSC field offices and commercial banks have also been asked to display a ‘Notice Board’ at a conspicuous place of their branches that “DONATIONS TO PRIME MINISTER’S SPECIAL FUND FOR VICTIMS OF TERRORISM ARE ACCEPTED HERE.”
