Malika Tarannum Noor jahan's 10th death Anniversary is being remembered

Noor jahan is known as "Malika-e-Tarranum" which means "Melody Queen", she was the great female singer and also a popular actress. Madam Noor jahan sung many songs in Urdu and Punjabi language. She was born in Punjab before the partition of South Asia, after partition she moved to Pakistan. She sung many unforgettable songs, her voice holds the great impression. Madam was very loyal to Pakistan she sung many national songs live to encourage Pakistan army in the war field.

She started her filmi career in 1935 She acted and sung songs in various movies in Pakistan and across Pakistan before partition. Madam Noor jahan secured several awards for her work, she received first President's award in 1957. She received The pride of performance in 1966, which is the biggest award of Pakistan. In 1996, she sung her last song for the film "Sakhi Badshah" the song was "Ki dam da bharosa yaar" and after that she became ill and and passed away by heart failure in 23 December 2000. Her 10th death Anniversary is being remembered today.
