Happy Labor Day.

The Pakistan Workers Confederation (PWC) has arranged programmes in all major cities of the country. Political parties, workers, laborers, peasants and other segments of the working class will actively observe International Labor Day by holding rallies, special meetings and processions across the country.

The celebration of Labor Day, also called as May Day, has its origins in the Eight-hour Day Movement, which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest. To mark the May Day, public offices, banks and schools will remain closed, as it is a gazetted holiday across the country.
