Islamabad Blast Updates

A suicide bomber blew himself up at the camp of Frontier Constabulary (FC) in Islamabad on Saturday evening; it was 7:38-7:39pm (1438 GMT).

D.I.G Islamabad Binyamin has confirmed eight deaths in the incident According to SSP Tahir Alam, the FC personnel were taking dinner when the attacker entered the camp and blew himself up, killing eight of the
security men and injuring several others. He said one suspect was arrested from the blast site.

The Frontier Constabulary, part of paramilitary force, deploys outside diplomatic missions and protects VIP homes.

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has strongly condemned the attack.

President Asif Ali Zardari in his message expressed his deep grief and shock over the loss of precious lives and injuries and conveyed his sincere condolences to the bereaved families.
