Section 144 Announced
Pakistan administration imposed Section 144 on several districts of Pakistan yesterday banning public rallies and political gatherings. The move aims to pre-empt long march by lawyers backed by Nawaz Sharif Muslim League (N), Tehrik-e-Insaf and Jamaat-e-Islami, scheduled for today.The administration had to clamp Section 144 due to security threats.Travelers coming from Lahore through the Grand Trunk Road or the Motorway were not allowed to enter Islamabad. The government has so far not arrested any parliamentarian from the opposition parties.
Nawaz, Qazi agree to attend lawyers’ long march and sit-inPakistan Muslim League (N) Quaid Nawaz Sharif has said the national agenda not being implemented due to personal agenda. The former prime minister was addressing a joint news conference with Jamat Islami Amir Qazi Hussain Ahmed after a meeting on Monday in which both sides agreed for active participation in the lawyers’ long march. they directed party workers not to damage public or private properties and keep their protest peaceful.
Blood revolution sure if soft revolution to be stopped
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that the revolution would take place through gun if the government tried to stop the soft revolution through restoration of deposed Chief Justice. Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Ali Ahmed Kurd said on Friday the lawyers long march will kick off on March 12 which will reach Islamabad in phases and stage a sit-in before the parliament on March 16. Addressing a press conference along with Barrister Aitazaz Ahsan.
